I am honored to serve as your 2023-2024 Lawton PTA President. For over 125
years, we have made a lasting impact on the education and well-being of our
children and I am grateful to have each of you as a critical partner as we work to
make every child’s potential a reality. Our mission work has been quite
challenging over the last few years and yet you still work hard every day to meet
the needs of our children, families and schools. There is so much more to do
and you are the changemakers and the voices we need to keep going. Author
Margaret Mead once said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
concerned citizens can change the world”. Believe that when you partner with
your school leaders and collaborate with families and community advocates and
decision makers, you can change the world. Now is the time for us to join or
recommit to our PTA mission and core values and work together to create a
bright future for our children and young people. I can’t wait to see what we can
accomplish together, as ONE PTA!
