Our automatic calling system is up and working. There are a few reminders you need you know. If you have not contacted the office by 9:15 am regarding an absence- you will get a call. If you call and inform the office that your child will be late and they arrive after 9:15 am- you will get a call. We cannot record a late arrival. Students cannot be counted present until they arrive at school.
As with every new procedure, there will be some things to work out until a better understanding is reached by all.
It is the parents responsibility to call EACH morning your child is absent even if they have been sent home ill by the school the previous day. With almost 400 students and numerous students being absent, we cannot keep track of every student that may be out for consecutive days. You will need to call the school each day your child is absent.
If you have contacted the school regarding your child's absence and you still receive an automated call you do not need to call the office. Obviously it has crossed paths with recording the absence and the automated system calling.
